Meet Diane Jochimsen, MS, CFP®
President & Financial Planner
“Details matter” was an early lesson impressed upon Diane when asked by her father to double-check the numbers in the business ledger for the family dairy farm as a teenager. Diane’s love of math and cognition culminated in a bachelor’s degree in computer science. This led to several jobs in the information technology field – initially as a programmer – and eventually as a project lead.
While working in the computer technology department at a mutual fund company, Diane’s interest in how mutual fund investments worked behind the scenes eventually lead her to pursue a Master’s of Science degree in Financial Planning (with honors) to not only understand personal financial planning but also how investments fit into a financial plan.
Whether working on investment portfolios or with a financial plan, Diane always seeks to know more about clients’ values, aspirations, and end goals. Knowledge about the whole person allows a true plan to be put in place which includes viable alternatives.
Diane is a proud member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, the leading association of fee-only financial advisors. As a member a Garden Club along with the Forest Steward Association, Diane brings ethos of Stewardship to all that she is part of.
In her off-hours, Diane loves to read a good mystery novel, or you may find her on the trail – riding her Salsa trail bike or kayaking in the Sound in her Pygmy Sitka. Both Diane and her husband Mike also enjoy antique autos. They are currently restoring an MGB.
