Meet Brett Lathrup, CFP®
Prior to his transition to financial planning, Brett lived in Atlanta and worked with contractors and architects in the commercial building industry. Spending most of his days looking at building plans and sifting through construction documents taught him how to hyper focus on the details, no matter how small.
Never having a typical employer sponsored retirement plan through work, Brett had to learn how to do his own research and develop a plan himself. It was while reading extensively about personal finance and how to suitably invest for his goals that it dawned on him that he had keen interest in the subject!
Working with Brett, you can really sense his passion for financial planning and his eternal quest for knowledge. His southern hospitality makes an uncomfortable topic, such as money, more relaxing.
Brett is a volunteer judge with the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA) for King’s Schools. He is also a member of the Snohomish County Estate Planning Council (SCEPC). He has also recently developed an interest in fly fishing, joining the Olympic Fly Fishers of Edmonds.
When he is not helping clients, you can find Brett either on the golf course or hitting the ski slopes. However, his favorite days of the year are college football Saturdays.
